The honest limit. A permit usually means the job is already sold. We say that up front. The value is what happens around it:
- Neighbor marketing around active jobs: same-age houses on the same street.
- Cross-trade follow-on demand: new roof → solar, gutters, insulation; remodel → HVAC, electrical, landscaping, pool; new build → pest, security, landscaping.
- Competitor intelligence: which contractors pull permits where (where the jurisdiction publishes it), and who to recruit as subs.
- Early-stage projects for commercial trades and GC subs.

Questions
Where does the data come from?
Public building-permit records that cities and counties publish on their open-data portals (Socrata, ArcGIS, CKAN and similar). Each page names its source dataset and the date it was last pulled.
Does a permit mean the job is still open?
Usually not: a permit typically means the job is sold. The value is neighbor marketing around active jobs, cross-trade follow-on work, and competitor intelligence.
Do you include homeowner names or phone numbers?
No. Public permit data generally doesn't include homeowner names, and we don't add them or skip-trace phone numbers. You get the job address, ZIP, scope and declared value.
How do I know you cover my ZIPs?
Ask for a free sample with your trade and ZIPs before you buy. We only sell jurisdictions we actually pull, and we show you the trailing 8-week average count first.
See your ZIPs before you pay.
Send your trade and ZIP codes. We'll reply with a real sample from the public records we pull, or tell you plainly that we don't cover you yet.
